We will be emailing parking passes to VIP ticket holders. Please either print hard copy or have parking pass on your cell phone for parking attendant at Ocean Gateway. Please also have your VIP ticket with you either printed or pulled up on your cell phone which will get you your wrist band. If you will be partaking in the Maine Beer Box, your ID will be checked at Check-In once you arrive at VIP area.

What is the event exactly?
SummerFest ME this year is only the July 4th Fireworks event, now named Portland Pops. There will be a live performance by the Portland Symphony Orchestra on Thursday, July 4, 2019 7:30PM coinciding with a fireworks display, all at the Eastern Promenade in Portland, Maine.
Do I need a ticket?
No you do not! A ticket is required for admission into the reserved areas but the rest of the Eastern Promenade is open to the public. All are welcome to attend!

How do I get a VIP or Reserved ticket?
Click here to buy tickets! PortTIX will issue you tickets if you buy before the day of the event. On the day of the event, you can exchange your tickets for wrist bands as you enter the General Admission or VIP area.
What does VIP ticketing include?
VIP Tickets are SOLD OUT! You can still get one of the best seats on the Eastern Promenade in the Reserved Area. Family packs of 4 tickets are 25% off!

VIP tickets include premium seating, free rides on the Narrow Gauge Railroad to and from the event, light refreshments and a beverage voucher. You will be contacted about how to access the railroad and receive the voucher.

What does Reserved ticketing Include?
The Reserved Area allows you access to an area on the Eastern Promenade in front of the stage. There are no seats; you are welcome to bring your own folding chairs or blanket and select the best place to sit based on availability. Food and drink is available for purchase from local vendors.

Do I need my ticket on the day of the event?
Yes! On the day of the event you can take your tickets and exchange them for wrist bands to enter the VIP or Reserved Area.
Are there Restricted Items?
Alcohol, weapons, fireworks and smoking are all not allowed on the Eastern Promenade.

Is the event accessible?
Both general admission and VIP/Reserved seating are wheelchair accessible. Please contact the PortTix box office (207 842-0800 or info@porttix.com) if you have specific needs or questions.

What happens if the event is postponed on July 4th due to weather?
All tickets will be valid for the Rain Date on Friday July 5th at 7:30 PM. No refund will be issued if the rain date takes place. The decision regarding rain date will be made no later than noon on July 4th.

What happens if I have questions on the day of the event?
Please see a representative from Shamrock Sports & Entertainment events on the Eastern Promenade.

Where should I park?
Please remember that the Eastern Promenade is closed to traffic on the day of the event so you will likely want to park off of the eastern promenade. For more details please see below. Parking is first come, first serve.
The Maine Narrow Gauge railroad will bring passengers to and from the Eastern Prom. For more details please visit the narrow gauge website.

July 4th Street Info from the City Of Portland
The following streets will be closed to vehicular traffic from approximately 10:00am to 10:00pm, on Thursday, July 4th (July 5th Rain date): Eastern Promenade at Morning Street, Wilson Street, Moody Street, and Congress Street. Also, Morning Street at Eastern Promenade, Wilson Street, Moody Street, and Congress Street. In the event of rain, these street closings would be in effect for Friday, July 5th.

The following streets will be closed to vehicular traffic from approximately 3:00pm to 10:00pm, on Thursday, July 4th (July 5th Rain date): Eastern Promenade at Turner Street and Walnut Street; Morning Street at Turner Street; Emerson Street at Quebec Street and Melbourne Street; and Willis Street at Montreal Street and Walnut Street. In the event of rain, these street closings would be in effect for Friday, July 5th.

All of Munjoy Hill and the Eastern Prom will be closed to traffic (from Washington Ave. up), starting at 4pm on Thursday July 4th (July 5th Rain date). Street closures include Mountfort Street at Fore Street and Congress Street; Washington Avenue at Marion Street, Cumberland Avenue, Walnut Street, and Eastern Promenade. Streets will be opened up again after the fireworks display (at approximately 10pm). In the event of rain, these street closings would be in effect for Friday, July 5th.

On-street parking will be restricted from 7am until 11pm on Thursday July 4th at Eastern Promenade (both sides) from Morning Street to Washington Avenue, Fort Allen Park (both sides), Walnut Street from Eastern Promenade to Washington Avenue, and Mountfort Street from Congress Street to Fore Street (both sides). These streets will be posted in advance, any cars parked illegally will be towed at the owner’s expense. In the event of rain, these restrictions would be in effect for Friday, July 5th.
Cutter Street will be closed to vehicular traffic (except for designated handicapped parking), including parking for boat launching from 6 a.m. on Thursday, July 4th and will be opened again after the fireworks display (at approximately 10pm on July 4th or when deemed safe by City Staff). In the event of rain, these street closings would be in effect at 6am on Friday July 5th and ending at approximately 10pm on Friday, July 5th.

Will I need my ticket on the day of the gala?
Yes! You must present your ticket at the door to gain access.

Is the gala accessible?
Yes, there are wheelchair accessible tickets (limited) available for purchase. Please contact Shamrock Sports & Entertainment if you have specific needs or questions.

Is there parking?
Yes, there will be event parking at the Ocean Gateway or at the nearby Thames St. parking lot. Parking is first come first serve.

Are there Restricted Items?
Alcohol, weapons, fireworks and smoking are all not allowed at the Ocean Gateway.

Will there be food and drink?
There will be food and two full bars at the gala.
